A Special Mother’s Day “Komen Night at the Drive”

Come celebrate Mother’s Day, honor breast cancer Survivors, and remember those who are no longer with us at Komen Night at the Drive on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Pink player worn jerseys will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will go to benefit the SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Be sure to wear pink and walk the pink carpet!
One hundred Survivors will receive a complimentary ticket to the May 12th Komen Night at the Drive Game on behalf of the Greenville Drive. To claim your free Survivor ticket, please contact Kyle Krebs at 864-335-0060 or by email at Kyle.Krebs@greenvilledrive.com.

Grant Award Ceremony 2013
This year, the SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate of Susan G. Komen was proud to be able to grant a grand total of $348,162.00 to nine amazing organizations in our service area. Volunteer Opportunities
We are always on the lookout for great volunteers to help throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering with the SC Mountains to Midlands Affiliate of Susan G. Wacoal “Fit for the Cure”
Wacoal will host “Fit for the Cure” at Belk locations in May. Belk and Wacoal will each donate $2 for every bra fitting during the event and an additional $2 each for every Wacoal or b.tempt’d bra or shapewear piece sold during the event. All volunteers who work at least a 4 hour shift will receive a free Wacoal bra for volunteering! Available volunteer shifts are as follows:

SHE Greenville (formerly The Upstate Women’s Show)
SHE Greenville (formerly known as the Upstate Women’s Show) will be held August 23-25, 2013 at the TD Convention Center. It is not necessary for you to volunteer for the entire event. If you can afford to give us a couple of hours of your time we would be greatly appreciative. We need volunteers to work a booth and hand out information. This includes a free ticket into the event. If you choose to volunteer, we will send more details regarding parking and check-in 2 weeks prior to the event. Thank you for considering the times below. National Program Spotlight:

Cruises Only, a World Travel Holdings Company, to host A Cruise for the Cure® to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure® – Group Sailing Sets Sail out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL – November 10, 2013.
Susan G. Komen is honored to benefit from A Cruise for the Cure® group sailing, and the events surrounding on November 10-17, 2013. The Holland American ms/Nieuw Amsterdam ship will set sail with friends and supporters of Komen to help raise funds to help find the cures for breast cancer. This will be a group sailing, with half the ship’s capacity available to the Komen passengers.
This 8-day, 7-night excursion is designed to spread awareness and encourage all participants to take an active role in the fight against breast cancer. For this trip at sea, WTH will donate, for each booked passenger, a portion of their package price, equaling $200 per passenger, to Susan G. Komen. Included in this donation will be a bon voyage reception and concert, breast cancer seminar luncheons with guest speaker(s), executive chef cooking demonstrations, a Pink Party and silent auction, and more.
